The Chorus appears between 30-40 times per year in concert, at private events and galas, at sporting events, and in other venues.  Listed below are those events open to the general public; for more information on each event, please click on each event title.

2017 SPRING CONCERT
Stude Concert Hall, Rice University
Sunday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m.

This year’s Spring Concert will feature songs from around the world — sung in different languages — as well as songs of hope and encouragement. The Chorus will be joined by choirs from our “Music In The Schools” program.  Tickets go on sale at rehearsal locations, at the Chorus Office and on this website on March 15th.

2017 GALVESTON PROJECT

Sunday, June 11-18, 2017

This is our annual service project for the Galveston community. The Houston Children’s Chorus members pay their way to work side-by-side with Galaveston children in a week-long “Summer Music Funshop”.  Our choreographer, Stevie Rawlings, and our music director, Stephen Roddy, create and produce a high-energy concert that is presented at the end of the week in the historic Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston.  Past themes:  “Kids On Broadway”, “Motown Kids”, “Kids Singing Country”, “Texas Hoe-down”, “Disney Kids”, “Swinging On A Star”, “Let’s Go To The Hop”, “Young At Heart”, and others.

Featuring the Houston Children’s Chorus and the Children of Galveston in a fun, choreographed, original concert of pop themes.

 

CONCERT TOUR TO CANADA

June 18-26, 2017

The Chorus will perform concerts in Montreal and Quebec.

 

CONCERT TOUR TO CHINA

Summer, 2018.

The Chorus will return to mainland China to perform in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
